Tadami River Power Source Region Promotion Association is an
organization composed of seven towns and villages in the Okuaizu
region of Fukushima Prefecture: Yanaizu Town, Mishima Town,
Kanayama Town, Showa Village, Tadami Town, Minami Aizu Town, and
Hinoemata Village. With the vision of creating “Okuaizu, an attractive
region where people live and gather,” we are dedicated to
revitalizing the Oku-Aizu region by promoting industry, sharing tourism
information, and preserving traditional culture.
About Okuaizu
Okuaizu is one of the few regions in Japan where traditional culture and techniques from ancient times have been preserved amidst the rich landscapes of forests, mountains, and the Tadami gawa River and Inagawa River. Okuaizu is also one of Japan's snowiest areas, where you can find the wisdom of living through harsh winters, along with a food culture and traditional crafts enriched by the abundant nature. By visiting Okuaizu, a quintessential Japanese landscape, visitors can encounter new discoveries in culture and tradition.
